Presentation Design
What are my thoughts on what constitutes a good presentation? In
my experience any presentation has to have a meaning to the audience as well as
the presenter. And what is mean by that is, both (the audience and the
presenter) have to be interested and receptive to the information that is being
presented. If there is no genuine interest in the topic, the topic will not be received.
Good presentations
contain valid information. Each
piece of data is thoroughly fact-checked, accurate, and never misleading. Good
presentations provide honest data in an honest way. Great presentations contain
minimal information. Any information that's not 100 percent
relevant is stripped away, including information noise such as fancy slide
work. What's left is only that information that drives toward a decision.
And
last the presenter should have a solid understand of the information that is
being presented. I think this a very key point. Even in the designing stage of
a presentation, before you start you should have a good understanding of the
material that is being put together. The arrangement of the organization can
easily throw off a presentation.
